Abstract

Small businesses are responsible for economic growth and job creation in the country. It is clear that there is a high mortality rate in this type of business. The question is: Is there a relationship between financial education and business longevity for small businesses? Thus, the objective is to analyze the relationship between financial education and the longevity of small businesses. The methodology used was an exploratory, descriptive study of a qualitative nature, with the application of a literature review, using the Web of Science as a database with specific descriptors: financial education, small entrepreneurs, small businesses, individual entrepreneurs, management and strategic management. It is a strategic factor that contributes to the sustainability and longevity of these companies. Many adopt improvisation, making it necessary to change their strategy. It was concluded that there is an integration between financial education, innovation and strategic management in order to guarantee growth and permanence in the market
