Abstract

The Proceedings of the 16th Scientific Initiation Seminar (SEMIC) and the 1st Scientific Initiation, Technology, and Innovation Seminar (SEMICT) of CEUMA University gather the results of research developed by scholarship and volunteer students participating in the institution’s scientific and technological initiation programs.

With the theme “Toward a More Open Construction of Scientific Knowledge: Moving Toward the UN Agenda,” this edition highlights the university’s commitment to open science and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The document includes a total of 117 abstracts from the Scientific Initiation Program (PIC) and 20 abstracts from the Technological and Innovation Initiation Program (PITI). The works were presented throughout 2023, during the joint realization of SEMIC and SEMICT, strengthening CEUMA University’s academic and scientific environment. This material reflects the institutional commitment to promoting research, innovation, and the critical education of its students, encouraging the production of relevant and socially engaged knowledge.
